Re: Re: Baffled by Montbell's baffling.
Well in a box baffled jacket, not all boxes are the same size depending where on the jacket you look. Shoulder/underarm/hood areas would have to be very thin by necessity for the jacket to fit and ...

Re: Re: Re: Re: thickness and warmth
The Nano fits like a mid-layer fleece with about the same amount of loft. Think Atom LT size. I don't think one even needs to size up a typical Winter Alpine shell.

Re: thickness and warmth
My impression looking at it again today is thickness of 200wt fleece. It really is a sharp looking jacket. Still looking for some comparisons with the Westcomb Tango.

Re: Alpine Light meh
An average back length of ~26" is too short for a parka on most men, unless for some strange reason you like the hem above your hips and exposing your lower back when sitting/bent over. A back...

Re: Alpine Light meh
The Alpine Light is like so "yesterday" that is cut too short anyway. There are better jackets to be had now at similar price points. The EB Downlight and Golite Bitterroot come to mind.
