About Me I work at Stevens Pass Ski Resort ten months out of the year as the Employee Services Manager (not Human recourses, that's different). The other two months (June and July) I hike, trail run, cyclocross and downhill mountain bike with my wife of 10 years. I live in a faux Bavarian tourist town called Leavenworth where some of the best hiking in Washington is literally out my front door.

I've been trail running in the Hawk 2 for about 6 weeks (4 runs a week) and did one 6 mile day hike in very muddy conditions. So far there working great. I think they will excel in hotter clima...

XT HK 2
Another good option from Salomon is the XT HK 2 (aka XT Hawk 2 or XT Trail 1). They have a wide toe box (like the XA Pro), no offset lacing (nice), and are lighter (315g Vs 390g a piece).
