You can use line locs on a pocket and connect it to the loops. I have done this on one of my packs and it works well. I use a little different configuration, but I think that it would work here too.

The titan kettle by MSR is like that. I have one and really like it. I just wish it were about a half in. taller so that I could fit my bushbuddy in it.

Installing eyelets is really easy. If you are worried about strength, just double the mount of cuben there. I have done that when using a button hole stitch on lighter nylons.

Get a zero drop shoe. It helps squating and deads significantly. It takes you off your toes. Edit: I use vivo breathos and like them a lot.

I don't know of any place that sells it. The m50 that thru-hiker sells now is downproof like m55 though. It is not the same as the old m50. Micro ripstop is no going to stop many tears anyway. ...
