About Me Originally from Louisiana, I enjoyed camping in my Boy Scouting days and eventually became an Eagle Scout. Many years later (2002), I discovered backpacking after going on an REI multisport trip to Alaska. My first backpack was to Grand Canyon, and I was hooked!

Doubtful that solid fuel in general is as ecologically or environmentally sound as either alcohol or butane since some of it is left behind when people want to clean off their pot putting the resud...

Take size the website says you need and get next larger size if you want to wear an ultralight puffy layer underneath. Just a guess though since I do not own one.
