Re: Just Say No To Wicking: Non-Traditional Base Layers Based on a Next-to-Skin Fishnet Model

Re: Weird
Really weird. They have exactly *2* packs on the website now, the 3400 Windrider and the "4400 Porter (Expedition)." Nothing in the 1600 or 2400 categories. I'm going to assume tha...

Re: re: winter pack
I'll second the recommendation of the Hyperlight Mountain Gear Expedition pack. Just had mine up in the Colorado Rockies for 5 days, and it carried beautifully.

Re: RE:"down mittens"
I got both the lightweight and heavier versions of their mitts, figuring I'd use the lightweight ones while hiking or until it got really cold. So far, I've never needed to heavier mitts, ...

Re: Carrying a compact interchangeable camera
I'll also throw in as a suggestion the Wet Rib from Mystery Ranch, the latest incarnation of the old Dana Designs version. It has space for a small water bottle, and a medium sized pouch for y...

Montbell Super Stretch Down Hugger #3
I've had my 30F #3 bag down to 12F on a winter camping trip, wearing a mid-weight synthetic parka and pants, under a tarp and bivy combination. I was comfortable up to the 12F temps, although I w...

I ordered a tent about mid-December of last year also, and would be stunned at this point if it ever showed up. I suspect that you'll never get a refund simply because Big Sky doesn't have it - the f...
