Re: Re: Re: Some questions about winter camping in the Sierras.
If you're like most people (myself included) and you're just gonna do 1-2 trips per winter of at most 2-3 days each, you might not need an insanely warm bag. The winter weather forecast doe...

Re: Ursack Approved by IGBC
The IGBC simply provides recommendations. It's up to specific Parks and Wilderness areas to either add it to their approval list, or not. I wouldn't hold my breath for it to be approved in ...

Re: Re: Roll-Up Soft Bottle + Steripen recommendations

Re: Goretex Pro Jackets / Rain Jackets that actually last
A 3L Gore-Tex shell should do the trick. Would recommend actual Gore branded laminate instead of a knock off. I got a pro deal on an Arcteryx Alpha LT (12 oz, 3 layer Gore Tex Pro shell) about five...

Re: Roll-Up Soft Bottle + Steripen recommendations
The only thing I know of is the nalgene canteen which is pretty big and heavy. I use a 0.5L HDPE nalgene plus a 1L platy. Still looking for a better system. I've had no problems with the rec...

I had the same experience as everyone else here. Joe got me a customized piece of gear on time and was very responsive to my questions and requests. Can't do much better than that.
