I don't recall saying I used silicone for anythig other than siliconised fabric. I used Seam Grip for Cuben,PTFE and Epic.

Because it will probably peel off. However I have seam sealed Epic/PTFE and Cuben and of course silnylon, but never polyester that I can think of right now.

NO The Outfitter version is in polyester. Use McNett Seam Grip or Seam Sure as suggested by SMD.
