About Me Things I do: hike, camp, packraft, dive, XC ski

Things I'd like to do: easy rock climbing and canyoneering, more winter camping, more off-trail trips, and learn to telemark ski (it just looks so swooshy and cool). also, packraft MOAR.

Things I don't do: run, unless a rugby ball is in the vicinity. bike, unless it's casual, commuting, low-speed, or otherwise not hardcore.

Re: T shaped pad
I have a huge pad from Stoic that I keep in the car for car camping and anytime I wind up sleeping on someone's floor. I don't think I could bear to take it hiking though! Thing probably we...

Re: Making a pad attachment
That looks like an interesting solution, but then you'd be carrying two pads, no? Or do you have a regular hiking partner who wouldn't mind sharing? I have a BA bag I use as a top quilt in ...

Re: Re: Hiking in Barefoot Shoes
Definitely read the threads Ken posted up. There's been a lot of talk on this topic in the past year. If it were me, I'd start with dayhikes in the minimalist shoes and carry my usual trail...

Jennifer, Definitely not just you! What quilts are you using? I tried to get away with a regular width from Enlightened Equipment, but much as I want to love it, I've been forced to admit it&...
