Another FKT attempt
Darcy Africa started an attempt at the women's unsupported record this morning after drawing a walk-in permit at the NFS office in Lone Pine. She has a SPOT, but I do not know if she intended ...

Thousand Island Lake
Jenn is on one of the most beautiful sections of the JMT. The views of Banner & Ritter across those lakes are just breathtaking. Now going into the 4th night - this will be a tough one for her!

Re: JMT FKT attempt
Glad to see an update but was hoping for a better result! Krissy is out & Jenn is apparently continuing, but the record seems out of the question now. Sue J. left Reds at 71h07m, which would ...

Re: Splits
Thanks Aaron! If I got this right they're at Bishop Pass Tr in 33hr more or less, so 3:15 behind Hal & Mike. H&M did 84h12m41s, Sue J. did 92h00m, so it seems like K&J are probabl...

Splits
Well that's weird - I don't see how they thought it would take only 2 hours to do the 13+ miles from Mather to Bishop Pass Trail. It has been over 4 hours already & they're not qui...

SPOT
As far as I know, you can only see 50 points at a time. The owner of the device can download all the track points to a gpx or kml file after the fact, but I believe you have to do this within abou...

See SPOT Run
Having watched many adventures unfold via these SPOT tracks I can say that drop-outs lasting some hours are very common and often don't seem to relate to tree cover or other known interferences...
