About Me I work at Stevens Pass Ski Resort ten months out of the year as the Employee Services Manager (not Human recourses, that's different). The other two months (June and July) I hike, trail run, cyclocross and downhill mountain bike with my wife of 10 years. I live in a faux Bavarian tourist town called Leavenworth where some of the best hiking in Washington is literally out my front door.

Way to use the fine toothed comb Nick. I would be interested in you tearing mine apart. @ Mike: I removed the TP and a lot of the stuff sacks as you suggested. Look it over and tell me what you ...

Re: Linelocs need 3mm line (I think I already know the answer.)
I’ve been looking at putting the Air Core Pro UrsaLite Line in the MLD line locks. That line is 2.2mm. Any thoughts?

Good point. I use a slightly heavier pack for that reason. But I don't know how I could quantify that into a usable/accurate number. Most manufactures don’t have their gears life expectance p...

Re: Oh well...
I just read your article, very informative. I’ll “think” about dropping my 4 squares of blue shop towel. I am still a bit of a princess though; I may not be able to stick with the program.

Re: TP?
I don't think Mike is a fan of TP. He gave me a hard time for packing four 4"x4" squares of blue shop towel for such a use. I think he prefers "Oh Natural".

Yep. On my gear list I have a couple of different pages dedicated to different pack set ups. Including a “SUL Goal” pack. On this page I have my current set up with heavier items replaced with ...
