Re: WTB Wild Oasis or similar
I have a Wild Oasis I have considered selling. I believe it is 2 1/2 years old, in very good condition--only used twice a year when I go out solo. It was seam sealed by Six Moons. I have no way ...

Re: Vibram 5 finger vs merrell glove question
I have the Five Finger classics and the Merrell Pace Glove and Lithe Glove. I like them all in different ways. I wear the 5F around town and have used them as camp shoes when backpacking. I have...

Re: well did it work?
Most of us doing "Paleo" don't consider it a diet, and many are not seeking to lose weight, we're looking to be healthier and eat less crap. That said, I lost about 10 lbs.--woul...

Re: Re: klean strip green
I have always used the SLX, including frequently while camping at elevations over 12,000 ft. I have never noticed any problems with performance at those elevations (with a White Box stove).

Re: Re: Go light, go frugal - 55 - 99 cent ponchos
I have used these, also, on trips with a low expectation of rain--they weigh almost nothing. On one trip to Utah we ran into totally unpredicted bad weather--wind and rain/sleet mix. Somehow, I ac...

Re: Hood
I would certainly think the parka is warmer, but I went with the jackets. I have a capilene hoody I wear to sleep (keeps the down sleeping bag hood clean) and I wear it in camp under my down jacke...

Montbell UL Comfort System Pillow
I already owned the UL 90 pad, and decided to try the pillow. I love this pillow! And the handy way that it attaches to the pad so that it stays put. I just came back from a trip where I forgot the...
