Re: Camp Chairs
I was really enjoying lounging in my Monarch Butterfly chair on a trip this weekend and found myself fantasizing about a titanium/cuben superlite version.... Alite, are you listening?

Re: FBC - Size of Bag?
I use the quart sized bags for 2-person meals only. For myself only the pint sized bag is plenty big enough. I'd like to have a pint sized cozy, but use the larger cozy and fold the bottom over.

Re: Where to fly for a week in mid October?
Fly into Flagstaff and take public transportation to the Grand Canyon. October is a prime time of year for the GC.

re: Down Jackets
My husband and I both have the MB Alpine Light--neither of us has any issue with the necks feeling tight (but maybe we have pencil necks?). It is a nice balance between real warmth and light weigh...

re: Torso Sizing
I'll second Nancy's comments-- I think you've measured her torso incorrectly, unless she has incredibly short legs. I am 5'9+ and my torso length is only 18 inches, so she would ha...

Re: Hayduke section in December
I would say that a 30 degree bag would be grossly inadequate for what you are proposing-- I have occasionally found my 30 degree bag barely adequate in April and October. The 20 mile days also sou...

Re: Which THIN tights?
I always sleep in long-sleeve/long pants base layers for the exact same reasons you state, though, being a bit of a cold-sleeper, I usually use a heavier weight material The silk baselayers I have...

Re: Which sleeping bag to use?
The #3 for sure! I have the MB SS#3 and use it for the summer months in Colorado camping up to and over 12,000 ft., and it is fine (I am not a particularly warm sleeper, either). The #0 is way ov...

Montbell UL Comfort System Pillow
I already owned the UL 90 pad, and decided to try the pillow. I love this pillow! And the handy way that it attaches to the pad so that it stays put. I just came back from a trip where I forgot the...
