About Me Began hiking in the Carolinas, some in Virginia and now in Florida - much less variation in terrain, I'm sad to say, but beautiful in its own right. A Gatewood Cape w/Serenity is my primary solo shelter nowadays.

+1 to what my "brother" John Harper said about the bungee system. I've used this for years and the bouncing is almost nil. Just tighten and hike.

Judging from the pics, a wider pot would almost certainly yield better efficiency. That said, your boil time for 3 cups beats most alchy stoves' 2 cup performance! Wow, that is really great...
