I'm an intermediate/advanced backpacker. In excellent shape. Love the outdoors.

Avid fisherman. I always carry my rod with me when I am backpacking.

I've climbed Mount Shasta, hiked most of Yosemite, visited Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

I'm going to do a 4 week section hike of the PCT in 2013.

... I think one issue that was brought up is that for cuben to be mainstream it needs to be in gear that last for more than one season. Adding the extra bulk might put it on par with the weight ...

one cool idea..
One issue they brought up is storing the gear UNDER the tarp. There is actually a somewhat easy solution to this problem.. you buy a tarp that is slightly longer than you need and extends 2-4 foot...
