I agree Not sure with whom, but the previous 16 days straight and teh subsequent 6 days were REMARKABLY better weather - by 20 degrees and nothing more than 15-25 winds. THAT i was hoping for! |

Yes -preparration in question Forecasts were not for such high winds, the temperature itself was. The tarptent did admirably and I was cold because I get cold in the legs, not because I was woefully underprepared. I acknowledge... |

inclemency Yes, a real 'tent' would certainly help, but I will RARELY see that kind of weather unless in that location. Warmer legs and a more stable vestibule area would have worked fine - bigger rox... |
