About Me I'm originally from PA and was interested in backpacking so I decided to buy "The Backpacker's Handbook" By Chris Townsend when I was 19. His book is how I first heard of lightweight backpacking. Three years later I joined the NAVY and was stationed at Naval Hospital Bremerton, WA. I did my first day hike up Marmot Pass in 2008 and was amazed. I had never seen anything like it before. That hike made me decide I had to have backpacking gear before the next season. This forum has helped me start out right with smart lightweight gear choices.

Yeah, the TP stil my find its way in the pack. We'll see. Now you guys are making me second guess the Ti-Tri setup. It's actually kind of heavy. As soon as I can scrounge up some more money...

Shooting dogs
LOL. I'd recommend staying with that breed and continue to shoot them until you get lucky and find one that doesn't chase deer. I can recommend a caliber but that may be considered training...

Your right. Training advice shouldn't be given over the forum because it could be misinterpreted the way you just showed me. Thanks.

Hunting instincts
Thanks Jack, your right, they do need to be broken of this habit. Obedience training with a choke collar/leash and someone rolling his favorite toy or kicking a soccer ball helps. A firm understand...

Dyed my Inov8 280s too
I toned down all the lime green with some dark green rit dye and black paracord laces. Threw some green superfeet in them too. 1000 times more comfy and a lot better looking IMHO. These shoes stick...
