Aluminium FOIL pot lid
"a stainless steel lid that weighs almost as much as the pot itself" are you sure that it is SS ? The one I have is about 95g for the pot and 35g for the lid.

I can layer inside the Summerlite (puffy top and bottom as well as base layer) and that is how I do it. For you the 5" wider (at the shoulders) Megalite could work well.

I don't recall saying I used silicone for anythig other than siliconised fabric. I used Seam Grip for Cuben,PTFE and Epic.

Because it will probably peel off. However I have seam sealed Epic/PTFE and Cuben and of course silnylon, but never polyester that I can think of right now.
