About Me I live in the Redwoods of Northern California. It rains here, a lot, often going 30+ days without it stopping. I love it!

I have migrated from a 35 pound BPW setup to a winter time setup of 6.63 pounds, a shoulder season setup of 4.89 pounds and a summer time setup of under two pounds. Check out my website (http://www.hikelighter.com/) for my gear list and reading my blogs and my youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/RedwoodOutdoors) for videos on SUL and XUL gear and whatnot.

Hello Casey, If you intend to do the PCT next year with one of the three packs that you have listed, I would recommend the ULA Circuit. It is, very likely, the most used pack on the PCT. Last...

Re: Re: 2.75 ounce cooking setup... any ideas to lighten it up a bit more??
@AndyF It looks light enough to me already. Obviously you could drop significant weight if you could cook over an open fire, but that's probably not possible in your area. Hey Andy, thank...

Re: Re: 2.75 ounce cooking setup... any ideas to lighten it up a bit more??
@brendans, You could use a Fosters mug (1.1 oz) and a tealight stove (less than a gram? doesn't even register on my scale, which is the same one you use in the video). Thanks for the sugg...
