I would be careful putting leukotape on open blisters.. it is extremely sticky stuff so taking it off after might not be very fun. I guess it would be motivation to cover up any hot spots before...

I don't think Mt Tecumseh is on that list yet.. that is an easy 5mi total starting at Waterville valley. Then you could have a winter 4k.. even if just barely ;)

I agree with Stephen, adding more socks is trying to adjust your foot to the shoe and it could work or will just result in more blisters from so many layers moving. Sounds like they do not match...
