My Locale Auckland NZ
About Me I have been tramping (Americans say hiking) since I was a kid in the Boy Scouts. I have mostly tramped the South Island of NZ. Due to business commitments these days I usually squeeze in about 5 trips a year - mainly 3 to 5 days with always a big Christmas trip (our summer) of 14 plus days.
I belong to the Auckland Tramping club - a very active organisation - Google it.
I started Lightweight Tramping about 8 years ago - rather fanatical about it now!

I agee with Stephen - the sole structure makes it hard to use a gaiter with under strap, there is no arch to protect wear. I've been a "boot man" for 30 years. Changing my footwear was the hardest d...
