About Me My wife and I are originally from MI. We've lived in VA now for 5 years now and really love the area. I'm been an avid backpacker for about 20 years or so. After my first week long trip carrying #60 I started down the lightweight road. I like to make some of my own gear when I can. We love to travel and hike. I've been a designer all my adult life, primarily in the automotive industry but the last 5 years in aerospace.

What a great explanation, thanks. And as noted, Spectra orientation is probably not as critical on a tent or tarp as it is in the sailing world.

use TNF bag with....
I would just add a silk liner and more clothes to use with TNF bag. I don't think Southern Ill. gets that cold in Dec.
