I can't really say anything about Syn- or Downmats, but by the looks of it the NeoAir and the Synmat have the same R-value. Meaning if one is too cold, the other is likely to be too cold, too.

I'd suggest AquaPack. It's British, but then they do know wet there and make specialised cases for about every piece of equipment one might take along. Haven't used them though.
