My Locale Extreme northern Sierra Nevada
About Me I'm 60, single male. I had been in Retail Management for over 30 years. I have mostly solo bped since the early mid '70's. I XC some, not afraid to go alone, I also solo winter camp, even out in sub-zero temps. A few years ago, I went on a backcountry bp to Alaska, where I flew in by bush plane with five others into Wrangell/St. Elias NP. Since early 2010, I have been collecting vintage/antique camping and bp stoves, having acquired over 90 now. I like many outdoor activities, from bping to dirtbike riding, gardening.

Ever wonder why there isn't an aluminum Trangia alcohol burner?
Sometimes when I'm priming one of my old brassy stoves, it will spit out some small droplets of alcohol, neat to see them, especially if just before dark. I use denatured alcohol on everything...

California GGG #7 - Jan 29 to Feb 1, 2015
David, when we do the NorCal Coleman Collectors Gathering, we take over a campground enough, that we actually see others coming over to see what we are doing. We are quiet, just have a gazillion l...

Thank you VERY much Dave. Eric was a good info source, but I'd try for lightest weight which would be the CR123A battery. I like the real world testing. In my checking last night, Amazon seem...

Thank you Eric. Plus, the Fenix is much cheaper than the Zebra Light I was considering. Duane
