My Locale Extreme northern Sierra Nevada
About Me I'm 60, single male. I had been in Retail Management for over 30 years. I have mostly solo bped since the early mid '70's. I XC some, not afraid to go alone, I also solo winter camp, even out in sub-zero temps. A few years ago, I went on a backcountry bp to Alaska, where I flew in by bush plane with five others into Wrangell/St. Elias NP. Since early 2010, I have been collecting vintage/antique camping and bp stoves, having acquired over 90 now. I like many outdoor activities, from bping to dirtbike riding, gardening.

Bigger burner
MSR SuperFly. Canister top, big burner. Don't know why folks put MSR stoves down. The MicroRocket has a small head, but very hot. Boils water pretty dang fast. My vacation choice last year...

Anyone who ordered, have you received your item yet? If you placed an order, how close to the end was it? I was late to the dance and ordered a down jacket a day or two after the sale ended. Hav...

Alcohol stove in high sierra late summer
We've already had a forest fire on the Plumas NF last week, at the northern end of the Sierra Nevada. Be careful out there, don't burn me out. Duane
