About Me I'm a Physician Assistant working at a lung clinic. I'm married and have two young daughters. I dabble in ultralight, bushcraft, and even car camping. I enjoy making my own equipment, but also believe some things make more since to buy. Volunteering with the local search and rescue gives me a practical use for light weight gear.

Re: Noah Lamport's Silnylon
The salesman I spoke with affirmed that it was in fact 1.3oz/yard. I don't think it is listed on the website. I haven't received it yet, but I have ordered 1.3 oz silnylon seconds from ot...

I know the feeling. I was recently considering starting production of very light weight childrens sleeping bags. It seemed like something missing in the market. I figured it would at least have ...

The spectrum of shelters
I've been curious about curving the outer edge. It seems like it would help tighten the outer edge of the tarp. I like the idea of having plenty of tie out options, but if you added a loop in...

Cost of 10 yards
Actually I don't think they told me. Should be $35.00 plus whatever shipping ends up being. I'll have to get back to you on that.

Please help me chose a tarp design.
I just ordered 10 yards of silnylon from Noah Lamport for $3.00/yard plus a $5.00 cutting fee. I don't really need it, but at that price I thought it would be fun to make another tarp. I'...

Just purchased 10 yards
Forest green 2nds. Sales person confirmed that it is the 1.3oz/yard fabric. Said it would ship tomorrow. Very quick and easy.
