My Locale Intermountain West
About Me Thru hiked the PCT in 1983 and half of the CDT in 84. Backpacking since 1973 when I did my first 50 miler as a scout. Total gear nut and have dropped from a base weight of 35lbs to 10 - 12lbs and love spending time in the mountains even more. I typically get out for 2 week long trips and several weekend trips each year.

Re: Re: What Are You Hoping Santa Brings You This Christmas?
I am good in the equipment department. We just bought a new house and move in this weekend. What I would like is a very motivated buyer for our old house once I get it ready for sale this spring.

Re: Re: down vest
Like the previous two posters, I use a FF Hyperion vest in the cool mountain summers and use it in conjunction with a Golite Bitteroot for when I am in really cold temps. I also use it with my qui...
