It sounds like you want to backpack, and not just day hike. That's fine, except that you will need to get a wilderness permit. For days like Thursday through Sunday, there is the maximum demand...

I tend to be in Glacier earlier in the season, so more of the trails are closed. If the Highline Trail from Logan Pass is still closed, what about the trail that goes from the Loop up to the chalet...
