Also with a tent it is pretty much all or nothing. Tarp/bivy combo does give greater flexibility. I'm sweating the choices I have available for a upcoming trip right now. My head hurts.

LED UV Have heard a little of that around here. The technology is not quite there for backcountry use. Costs primarily. It will come out 2 weeks after you buy something else.

Depends on your size as well. I hike with someone who is 108 pounds. I am 210 pounds. 20 pounds mean totally different things to each of us.
