It was in the interest of "stove science" They were handy so I jumped right in. Got some testing to do this week with the little esbit holding device from Trail Designs.

Get the Caldera Cone for foster's pot. Use their esbit burner. Get the StarLyte burner add-on for alcohol back-up. 12-10 works great also.

My Nose knows fishy
I had to do the nose test. I have 2 boxes laying on my test table in the garage waiting to do some tests. One box had been opened last year and had the equivalent of 4-5 tablets, all broken pieces....

Indoor Use
My guess is the 4 gram tablets were meant to be used indoors with model steam engines and just might be a different formula. Just thought to mention that ;)
