My Locale Colorado
About Me Grew up in Atlanta and took my fist backpacking trip from Deep Creek to Newfound Gap when I was 14. Over the years I sectioned hiked the AT, canoed every river and swamp I could find in the SE, and then went to Yellowstone for a month of backpacking. I got a job and stayed for 5 years. Schlepped my 60+ pound pack all over the west. Got old and weak and quit. Started car camping with my kids and one day my 8 year old asked if we could do some "real camping". Started researching gear and joined the lightweight revolution. Hallelujah!

Re: Warm weather quilt option
You could use the Golite 40% off code and buy an RS+1 Synthetic 40 degree quilt. Longs are in stock on the website, and after the discount, would cost you $84 plus shipping.

Roleigh, Search Craigslist where you are for an older Singer. I like the old black Singer 15-91's and 201-2's but they are straight stitch only. If you want a model capable of doing a zigz...

Re: Repairing Silnylon on Shangri-la 3-Thanks for the advice.
Thanks Andy and Jim. Jim, I took your idea and used another piece of silnylon I had and made a larger stuff sack. Then sewed a seam down one side to make an intergrated sleeve for the pole. Doub...
