Most likely bottom insulation. Sleeping warmly in a hammock can be done, but takes some experimenting. What specifically did you have beneath you in these set-ups?

I believe either one will work. I slipped a pair of Leki tips over my BPL Stix before I ever used them. Adds roughly 3 cm of length.

Gloves
Mountain Hardware Powerstretch come in at 1.2 and fit snugly in the wrist. I also have a pair of Icebreaker wool liners at 1.1 oz, although they don't form fit to the wrist.

I'm assuming that with the freezing temps at night that the mosquitoes haven't gotten too bad yet. I'm considering leaving the tents at home in favor of tarps. Any bugs on your visit?
