About Me Growing up in Montana, I was immersed in the outdoors since day one and have been backpacking for about 45 years, both as an avocation and for a few years professionally for the Forest Service. I also enjoy snowshoeing, nordic & alpine skiing, cycling, kayaking, photography, and solo trips.

Just a note about the Montbell WS sizing, they tend to run small, so if you intend to wear layers under it, you'll need to go up a size or two. The Houdini doesn't seem to have this problem.
