It is 31k a year and that is the average of the bottom 90%. I didn't read the study so I don't know who they included or excluded. Retirees for example living off savings...? Who knows....

Craig, The wealth is relative to other Americans. What would be more informative is the relative wealth of an average US citizen compared to one in a country with higher Passport numbers. ...

I don't think it is the money. Passports are good for a while so the recent economic slump would only effect new passports, a relativley small portion of the number. I don't have a pass...
