I use a single Granite Gear hip belt pocket on my VT. I use it for my camera and usually a snack or two, and sometimes a folded up map. They work great, and are actually quite rain resistant.

Just to note... the MegaLite has a draft collar, which the SummerLite does not. It actually makes a difference. Other than that, width (and the relative fill difference) is the only difference.

Lynn... I agree, reliability info would be good, but I'm fairly certain that the BPL pad hasn't failed and is still in use though (I reserve the right to be wrong as usual). Regarding price...
