Sleeping with wet socks, no way, thanks. Cold feet, Still damp in the morning. I have better luck drying them on my torso. Still like Hoot's answer best.

I found it deep enough to keep my bed dry in the 11 hour record setting rain event that was its first trip out. I do not worry about it. You can't go wrong with any of these pyramid shelters...

Sleep on a full size air mattress? I would still get the XL. I found the Duomid was almost too wide for one occupant. With the poles inverted there is plenty of room inside for gear, cooking, etc..
