Hard to say Bob. The skin doesn't necessarily need to separate from the flesh. Did you try taking a bite to see how well it was cooked?

It's not really an issue if you will have a chance to dry it out the next day. You may get a little cold from the moisture in the early hours of the morning, but not too bad.

I do a little bit of (novice) foraging and you see edible berries all along popular hiking trails. I don't think many people know or care about wild edibles.
