What about carrying a larger backpack and a dense CCF wedge. CCF weighs less than memory foam. Not UL but if it gets you into the woods....

Jerry, This quilt is an underquilt for a hammock, so the narrow width would go at the foot end. Many use a tapered design nowadays. Saves weight, of course. But ya better be a still sleeper! ...

Instead of regular freezer bags for FBC, use the pint-size version. No more messy fingers! Works great unless you're eating big.
