Re A nice is pretty much a requirement for saftey and survival outdoors. Anyone telling you otherwise thinks an extra 1 oz is a sin. |

re why not go frameless? Im sure they will like it more, keep in mind some peoples baseweights here are 3.5 pounds. Since you guys will be sharing shelter/ cooking im not sure what you need that m... |

Cuben fiber roll top, will it generate heat? Im getting a pack built similar to this one BUT: Im thinking about going with black 1.43 cuben for rolltop. Do you think it will heat up, will the sun go though it easy? |

re If you dont like the bivy you could get the full bug enclosure sewn on from Joe too. 9.3 ounces total, which might lighter than your bivy + tarp. |

re I would have put it in some plastic bags, and maybe wrap a cardboard box around it. Or there is a case for not, because when an employee sees it they will be carefull with it. Looks great, ho... |

re Only one way to find out if its for you. I didnt like mine. These days you can get full bug and rain protection with "bug free living space" for practically the same weight as a tarp/ biv... |

Re Keep in mind your sawyer squeeze comes with a bag. Wherever you take the 1l or 2l it's up to you. You can always store water in those bags. Then I'd take two 1l platys. |

re I would be worried more about the stickyness of the fabric. The Neo-airs are plastic like, where the Exped UL7 is a soft fabric and would be less sweaty. |
