About Me I've always loved getting "out there" and backpacking is one of my preferred ways. I spend as much time as I can backpacking and car camping with my kids during the Summer. I'm an avid target shooter and enjoy kayaking with my family, ATVing and snowmobiling, and just about anything that get's me in the outdoors.

Aaron, thanks. The itin and mileage was put together by my buddy planning this, I'll let him and the third member know.

CW I guess
I just got this itinerary from the guy planning, so looks like we're going CW. I know this is challenging terrain, but this seems overly slow. I'll have plenty of time to enjoy the scener...

Re: June 22
Aaron, thanks again for the insight. We might just see each other, our tentative plan (waiting for planner to get permits) is to start out on June 22, but I'm not sure if we're going CW or...

Re: Re: June 22
Aaron - MUCH appreciated. I'm planning to bring my cuben SoloMid with perimeter netting, do you think that's sufficient for the average bug pressure at the end of June? I've seen some...

Re: Re: Price reduction
Virginia, you may want to modify the price in your original post too. I'm surprised this is still available, it's a fantastic pack at a good price with no wait from Ron.

Re: Full circle
I agree, there is nothing better than a French press for taste. I have the GSI one and it does a great job at home (when I feel like it) and when car camping with my kids. But for the weight, I t...

Montbell's works well
.14 oz and works well. This was about the lightest I could find vs. using a paper filter. They have a larger version too, but this one easily brews 12 - 14 oz of coffee at a time, at least with th...

Re: MLD Packs and side pockets
Same here, it's my only complaint on the pack. I can get a 1L bottle out, but typically have to undo the hip belt to get it back, which isn't that big a deal with the amount of weight I...

Happy customer
I've ordered from Lawson on several occasions and have always been extremely happy with the service, communication, and most of all the end product.

Enlightened Equipment Revelation X
This was my first quilt, and I couldn't be happier. I needed a new cold weather bag, so I went with the 20F 6' Wide and had the 30% over stuff. The loft on this quilt is incredible, more tha...

gossamer murmur
I would have liked to give the 2012 Murmur a 4.5 if I could have. My only criticism is that the stitching is not as well done as I would have expected. There were a few loose threads in some of the ...

I actually liked a lot about this jacket, but I ended up returning it to REI for one simple reason - it didn't keep me warm. The fit and quality is excellent, I especially like the breast pocke...
