Re: Re: Re: Re: Synthetic jackets - how do they really perform in wet conditions?
Dave, perhaps BPL has the resources to have a jacket made that is split down the middle and one half is filled with normal down and the other half with DWR down as many gear manufacturers do to tes...

Re: Re: neoprene socks
Can you take out the insoles of your Boulder-X's? That'll free up space for the neoprene socks. I do that with some of my shoes and it works fine.

Re: Re: Re: Yet Another PCT List
Hiking at night with an e-lite sucks, unless there's a full moon. How about bringing one pole as a compromise? Then you don't need a separate shelter pole. I hike with one pole all the t...

Re: Yet Another PCT List
I'd want trekking poles, but it's a personal decision. I find them hugely helpful on high mileage days. You'll do a lot less stumbling when walking over snow with them too. Personal...

Justin if you're thinking about getting a Mirage you might stick with the medium Alpha or Beta shell. My large Mirage as stated above does not really fit inside a medium Alpha LT. I bet you'...

Re: Re: Re: Which arcteryx hardshell?
Given how your Alpine Start fit me I'd say I'm probably a size bigger than you Justin. The REI here carries a bunch of Arc jackets, maybe you could try one on for sizing somewhere?

I had the same experience as everyone else here. Joe got me a customized piece of gear on time and was very responsive to my questions and requests. Can't do much better than that.
