YARTS winter schedule
Yes, YARTS runs between Yosemite Valley and Merced year round. Furthermore the YARTS schedule for one or two buses per day is timed to match the AMTRAK trains. Edited my post above to clarify.

About 20 miles
The Snow Creek loop is about 20 miles if you include the off trail jaunt up Mount Watkins. Perfect weekend trip. Check on water sources before you go as there really isn't much around North Dome.
