Re: Re: Alps Mystique 1.5 & Coleman Libra X1
I actually own the Alps Mystique 1.5. It isn't the lightest tent by any stretch of the imagination, but I bought it because of the side entry, dual vestibules, and the extra space on the insid...

Alps Mystique 1.5 & Coleman Libra X1

Golite Shangri-la Pole suggestion
I have a Golite Shangri-la 1, however, I generally only hike with one trekking pole. I wouldn't mind just getting a tent pole for the foot end of the tent, and use my trekking pole for the ent...

Re: Plea for help
Grant, Look at the Zolo line from Sierra Designs. Both the 1 (which appears to be discontinued and on closeout) and the 2 have 96" length. Since they are dome style tents, most of that sp...

Re: Re: Japanese keyhole saws?
Keyhole saws tend to be very thin and flexible and have a tendency to bend easily. Bandsaw blades are generally very flexible, and you would have to be able to straighten them out to use them outs...

Re: Raft
Colin, thanks. While I wouldn't recommend using it as a makeshift mattress, I agree that I need to move the valve. That is definitely one of the changes that I would make. I like the boston v...
