JMT Water Filtration
I carry a gravity filter. Last summer on my JMT trip I never used it. I am doing the trail again this summer, and don't plan on using it, but i will carry it just in case I feel it is needed.

Freeze Dried Fruit
I was in Whole Foods this morning and noticed they have freeze dried pineapple, peachs, bananas, pears and mango. Those of you that have used freeze dried fruits, what is your opinion? Mahalo

My wife and I take separate vacations every year. I go backpacking for weeks and she goes to the mainland and spends time with her girlfriends. Works great for us.

I do not have the bottle holders on my pack and I do not use a bladder. I use a Gatorade bottle in the side pocket. Easy to access and put back.

I give him credit for following a dream of his. Sounds like he gave it his all. He certainly did not fail in any way. I have no idea what physical and mental hardships he went through. Good job Kevin.
