My Locale Colorado Rockies
About Me I'm 45 years old, 6'4" and 195 lbs. I've backpacked in the Colorado Rockies, the Wasatch and Uinta mountains, and in Zions National Park. I mountain bike in the Colorado Rockies. I've kayaked in Yellowstone and on Flaming Gorge, and rafted the Green, Colorado and Snake rivers. My trips are usually a week long or less. I love to hike wherever I can. I'm an Assistant Scout Master and I'm often out with the Scouts. My immediate goal is to thru-hike the Colorado trail. I've lived in Utah, Ohio, Illinois, Argentina, California, and Colorado.

Re: I just tried the Solomon Tech Amphibians
I love my Tech Amphibs. I often wear them as slippers, with the backs folded down. I've been using them for several years. They have been on week long treks in Costa Rica and the mountains of Color...

Kevin, I am really enjoying your sense of humor! The Village People reference on day 9 of the Arctic 1000 site was great too. You and Dale keep me chuckling.

Re: Stirring the embers and good news
I am very glad you did. I am still laughing about it. "Monty Python is my copilot", nice touch! Hopefully satire will not be totally lost on them.

The really appreciated your post in that thread, Ryan. The contrast between the posters that I recognized from this site, and many of the others was stark, to say the least. We (light weight enthus...

I had to laugh in disbelief at the bible quote. Certainly the bible must have something to say about killing bears. I'm still waiting for someone to say that they never go into bear country without...

Yeah, I fanned the flames a little myself. I had what I thought was a rather well worded post on footwear I was going to post, but thought better of it. It wouldn't have changed any minds, and Ryan...
