My Locale Scotts Valley CA via San Jose, CA
About Me A return to backpacking after a musicians life. Hiked with too much weight before finding out the "lite" side. I live in Scotts Valley which is right in the middle of the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains, and only 10 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from Los Gatos. Love the Sierra's!!! Too many places to see and go!

ULA P1 and P2 have them and they sure are a nice addition to a pack.

What everyone has said is true about the Sierras. The most you will ever get is a thuderstorm in the late afternoon and maybe the odd rain for a few hours. The Sierras are inclined to have their ow...

Justin, from what I have experienced, if you do encounter a ranger, they might ask you for proof that you have a cannister. Mainly busy trailheads and certain areas that backpackers might congregat...

ULA Equipment
Been using ULA packs for years. Bought the P2, P1 and now the Conduit. All are excellent in their own way. Customer service is perfect and so is the gear. Great packs!!!

Came home to find a rather colorful small box on my porch today. Wow it is small. I have always thought that it would be cool to have a small bear cannister for 1-2 nights of backpacking. Well here it...
