My Locale Scotts Valley CA via San Jose, CA
About Me A return to backpacking after a musicians life. Hiked with too much weight before finding out the "lite" side. I live in Scotts Valley which is right in the middle of the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains, and only 10 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from Los Gatos. Love the Sierra's!!! Too many places to see and go!

as long as you're above treeline, off trail is not a problme. You just need to be a little more careful with this pack. I love mine and the workmanship is superb.

Seems to me that if you don't screw on the lid properly, the lid overlaps the little lip on the cannister and it won't screw on properly. If someone was not too well versed with the cannister or in...

Bear Bagging
Not much help in the Sierras. Actually illegal in some parts. You don't know how many camp sites I come across with torn rope, string etc. dangling from trees. Hmm wonder how that happened.

Been using ULA packs for years. Bought the P2, P1 and now the Conduit. All are excellent in their own way. Customer service is perfect and so is the gear. Great packs!!!

Came home to find a rather colorful small box on my porch today. Wow it is small. I have always thought that it would be cool to have a small bear cannister for 1-2 nights of backpacking. Well here it...
