My Locale Scotts Valley CA via San Jose, CA
About Me A return to backpacking after a musicians life. Hiked with too much weight before finding out the "lite" side. I live in Scotts Valley which is right in the middle of the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains, and only 10 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from Los Gatos. Love the Sierra's!!! Too many places to see and go!

Verrrrry interesting. Looks promising. I would wonder if they will have a pad pocket (maybe even like Gossamer Gear) and add two carbon Fiber stays. The weight and cubic inches look attractive. Tha...

In all respect. In SEKI the owners of the Bearvault were not properly screwing on the lid. If the lid is not screwed on properly then a 500 lbs bear sitting on it could easily pop it off. As for Bu...

Been using ULA packs for years. Bought the P2, P1 and now the Conduit. All are excellent in their own way. Customer service is perfect and so is the gear. Great packs!!!

Came home to find a rather colorful small box on my porch today. Wow it is small. I have always thought that it would be cool to have a small bear cannister for 1-2 nights of backpacking. Well here it...

I have only taken this on one trip so far. Everything that I have read about this is true. The space (square feet) and the coverage is awesome. I did not feel claustrophobic at all. The harness is a g...

I too like the idea of this filter. The problem that I have had is getting the runs too. This has now happened a few times. Wonder if the filter is working at all.
