My Locale Scotts Valley CA via San Jose, CA
About Me A return to backpacking after a musicians life. Hiked with too much weight before finding out the "lite" side. I live in Scotts Valley which is right in the middle of the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains, and only 10 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from Los Gatos. Love the Sierra's!!! Too many places to see and go!

which jacket
I have the Marmot Essence and love it. The only draw back would be no pockets for my hands, but other than that it is a good rain jacket. I have used it all summer so far and I went through one rai...

as long as you're above treeline, off trail is not a problme. You just need to be a little more careful with this pack. I love mine and the workmanship is superb.

great follow up post and I agree with all that was said. Ultralight can be cheap. You can buy a Gossamer Gear Mariposa for a little over a $120 or you can buy the Gossamer G4 for $85. If you have q...

Seems to me that if you don't screw on the lid properly, the lid overlaps the little lip on the cannister and it won't screw on properly. If someone was not too well versed with the cannister or in...

Been using ULA packs for years. Bought the P2, P1 and now the Conduit. All are excellent in their own way. Customer service is perfect and so is the gear. Great packs!!!

Came home to find a rather colorful small box on my porch today. Wow it is small. I have always thought that it would be cool to have a small bear cannister for 1-2 nights of backpacking. Well here it...
