Re: re:
Jamie, The new 2010 Jam now weighs 31oz, so the Peak is less than the Jam as you would expect.

2010 GoLite Peak
Until now, the only info I had heard on the new GoLite Peak backpack (little brother to the Jam) is from the BPL coverage at the outdoor retailer show which didn't say much more than the weight...

FWIW, my 2009 Jam weighs 24.3oz (688g) down from 26.7oz (755g) thanks to removing the hydration bladder and trimming the straps.

Golite almost needs a new line of packs that are more 'hardcore ultralight' with the Pinnacle/Jam/Peak line getting fatter and fatter. Something more in tune with the original idea behind t...

Spark-Lite Fire Starter (Survival Gear - BPL Gear Shop)
I have this kit and the FireLite Mini kit. This sparker is a bit lighter than the FireLite Mini but I don't trust this sparker 100% like I do the FireLite. This sparker doesn't work well wh...

BPL FireLite Firestarter
I love this FireLite Mini. It's the only thing that I 100% trust to start a fire. With a mini Bic you can run out of gas, be at too high of an altitude, get it wet or get it oily. Matches can ...
