My Locale Scotts Valley CA via San Jose, CA
About Me A return to backpacking after a musicians life. Hiked with too much weight before finding out the "lite" side. I live in Scotts Valley which is right in the middle of the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains, and only 10 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from Los Gatos. Love the Sierra's!!! Too many places to see and go!

favorite stove
been switching back and forth between the Ion and the Vargo Triad. I like the Ions base for hold a Ti 400 cup, but the flame base that the Triad puts out is fantastic.

If you're are 5'7 then a 5'6 will not fit. On WM's site they have a 6'0 bag listed. The 5 inches that are spared can be used for placing a few objects to keep warm? Just a suggestion. I am 6'1 and ...

Been using ULA packs for years. Bought the P2, P1 and now the Conduit. All are excellent in their own way. Customer service is perfect and so is the gear. Great packs!!!

Bear Boxer 101 Contender
Came home to find a rather colorful small box on my porch today. Wow it is small. I have always thought that it would be cool to have a small bear cannister for 1-2 nights of backpacking. Well here it...
