My Locale Scotts Valley CA via San Jose, CA
About Me A return to backpacking after a musicians life. Hiked with too much weight before finding out the "lite" side. I live in Scotts Valley which is right in the middle of the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains, and only 10 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from Los Gatos. Love the Sierra's!!! Too many places to see and go!

In simplistic terms, I am kind of glad that my idea of fun is not followed the hordes and masses that sit at a computer consol all day and play video games. Keep in mind, most of us go to into the ...

oh and bivies, if you're looking for a bivy without spending too much cash, either look at Equinox or Titanium Goat. Both are quite well built and in-expensive. Oh and Light!

Countryman where are you going hiking at? Big Basin, Castle Rock? Your gear looks good. Considering that weather is quite predictable in this mountain range (I'm a San Jose native) I don't think we...

ULA Equipment
Been using ULA packs for years. Bought the P2, P1 and now the Conduit. All are excellent in their own way. Customer service is perfect and so is the gear. Great packs!!!

Came home to find a rather colorful small box on my porch today. Wow it is small. I have always thought that it would be cool to have a small bear cannister for 1-2 nights of backpacking. Well here it...
