a 3L bladder ... doesnt always get filled to the brim ... but like others have said drinking hands free is a convenience i find in addtion usually either a nalgene for anything more than a daytr...

no idea about the sierras ... but in the PNW ... IMO "bomber" rain gear isn't all that it's cracked up to be ... on normal trips any well constructed rain jacket that survives ...

Montbell Extremely Light Down Jacket
the key to using this jacket is to use it under a windshell or synthetic jacket like a nanopuff by itself the shell is fairly fragile, there are no pockets, there is no waist string ... however ...
